  • Some things about skiing.

There are three areas for skiing in Brian Head, all basically interconnected either by bus or by bridge.

The main ski area is directly across the road from the house. You can't walk there, but you can see it if you go out on the living room deck. It's best to drive down the road; it's only a two minute drive. There is a ski school and ski rental facilities there, along with a cafeteria that serves what appears to be food. That ski area predominantly has intermediate and expert runs, with some beginner slopes.

Down the road on state highway 143, the newer looking ski building also houses ticketing, ski school and rental facilities, along with a medical clinic. That area (you passed it on the way in) is predominantly all beginner slopes. There is also a tubing area there, and some night skiing.

The other ski area, also predominantly beginner to intermediate, is right down the road from us, at the end of Pinehurst street. A long standing business, Georg's Ski Shop, sits there; you can do your rentals at that place also.
